Most of you found the second method of factorising trinomials easier to understand – so use this method!
Watch out for those signs though!
Practice makes perfect! - please complete, in your jotter, the factorise trinomials we started in class.

Todays lesson was an introduction to factorising trinomials using a T-table.
For example
The steps are
- Write down the factors of the x squared term on the left of the table (both factors will contain x)
- Look at the last term and write down all the factors in the right hand side of the table.
- Cross multiply to find the middle term.
- Write the factorised equation in two brackets & check by multiplying out (FOIL)

Hello all,
I thought it would be a good idea to start a class blog – so here it is!
Blogs can be used in many ways to add another dimension to your learning – I intend to post relevant class- related information as well as links to maths related websites and games.
Please feel free to comment on the blog - I intend to create pupil accounts so that you can post Maths related messages on this blog – let me know if you have any good ideas on how we can use this site
I have reposted the revision materials from the other web page into the message below. I have scheduled the calculator test for Thursday and the non-calculator test for Friday. Good luck!

I have move this revision table from the other web page as I think it’s a good idea to keep all our online material together. Remember if you find things in the revision material that you don’t understand ask me and I’ll cover them in Tuesday’s revision lesson.
